Modern Slavery Statement for Storage Osidge
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the actions taken by Storage Osidge to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to uphold and promote human rights, and we are committed to ensuring that slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking have no place in our business or in the activities of those who supply goods and services to us.
Our Zero-Tolerance Policy
Storage Osidge maintains a clear and robust zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery. This policy applies to all employees, directors, contractors, agency workers, and anyone acting on behalf of Storage Osidge. We expect the same high standards from all our suppliers and business partners.
Any suspected instance of modern slavery linked to our organisation will be treated with the utmost seriousness. Where concerns are substantiated, we will take decisive action, which may include terminating relationships with suppliers, reporting matters to the relevant authorities, and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
Our Supply Chain Standards
We recognise that the risk of modern slavery can be heightened within complex supply chains. Storage Osidge therefore seeks to work only with suppliers and partners who share our commitment to ethical conduct, fair working conditions, and respect for human rights.
As part of our supplier onboarding process, we seek assurances that suppliers comply with relevant labour and human rights legislation, maintain transparent employment practices, and prohibit the use of forced, bonded, or involuntary labour. Suppliers are expected to communicate these requirements throughout their own supply chains.
Supplier Audits and Due Diligence
Storage Osidge carries out proportionate due diligence on existing and prospective suppliers, with a focus on identifying and mitigating modern slavery risks. This due diligence includes reviewing supplier policies, obtaining confirmations of compliance, and assessing the nature and location of their operations.
Where appropriate and based on risk, Storage Osidge may conduct supplier audits or request evidence of independent audits. These audits may consider working conditions, recruitment practices, freedom of movement, wage practices, and the presence of effective grievance mechanisms. If an audit reveals non-compliance or significant risk indicators, we will work with the supplier to agree a corrective action plan or, where necessary, reconsider the relationship.
Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing
Storage Osidge encourages an open culture where employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders feel able to raise concerns about potential modern slavery without fear of retaliation. Concerns may relate to our own operations or to any part of our supply chain.
Employees are encouraged to raise concerns with their line manager or a senior manager. If they feel unable to do so, they can use internal whistleblowing channels to report issues confidentially. Suppliers and external stakeholders are encouraged to contact a senior representative of Storage Osidge if they suspect any form of exploitation linked to our business activities.
All reports will be handled sensitively and, where possible, confidentially. We will investigate concerns promptly and fairly, and take appropriate action if modern slavery is identified or suspected.
Training and Awareness
Storage Osidge is committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks among employees whose roles involve procurement, supplier management, or site operations. Training and guidance are provided to help staff recognise signs of exploitation and understand how to report concerns.
We also encourage key suppliers to promote awareness of modern slavery within their own organisations, reinforcing shared responsibilities across the supply chain.
Monitoring, Review, and Continuous Improvement
We recognise that addressing modern slavery is an ongoing process. Storage Osidge regularly reviews the effectiveness of our policies, due diligence processes, and training to identify areas for improvement.
This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed, updated, and approved by the Storage Osidge leadership team on an annual basis, or more frequently if there are significant changes in our operations, legal requirements, or identified risks. Each annual review will consider audit findings, reported concerns, and evolving good practice, with the aim of continually strengthening our approach to preventing modern slavery in all aspects of our business.
